As of right now

I am pregnant.

I still can't wrap my mind around it. I keep expecting them to call back and say it was a mistake. My first beta was 125 on Wednesday. Today's beta was 278 and my progesterone is 45. I have another appointment on Monday morning.

They doubled my progesterone, so I am taking six pills a day. And my thyroid medicine is increasing as well. They took me off met. Which I don't agree with, but I honestly keep expecting this to disappear.

Me and Mister are cautiously happy. Or tentatively thrilled.

I just cannot believe it. Not after over three years of negatives.

I am trying to stop myself from getting too excited. We are keeping it just between us and the internets- no family- not till it's safe.

Most people have no clue what infertile couples go through.

The hunger and longing for a baby – and the frustration and pain of having to deal with failed IVF cycles is something which most infertile couples learn to deal with in the privacy of their bedrooms.

This is why many people end up saying stuff to infertile couples which is inaccurate and unhelpful – and they often add insult to injury by saying hurtful things, even when they don’t intend to cause pain ( for example, “ Just relax and you’ll get pregnant ! “ )

In order to bridge this gap between the fertile world and infertile couples, we have produced an animated cartoon film called, Making Babies – Everything you wanted to know but didn’t know whom to ask ! You can watch it free at http://ivfindia.com/movie/babymaking.html.

Feedback is welcome !

Did I just get IF spam? lol

That is amazing! Personally, I would keep taking the metformin. It's supposed to help prevent miscarriage in women with PCOS. I took it all the way until 12 weeks. So, if you still have refills...I'd say keep it going till then. CONGRATS!!!!!

Oh bless your heart! Yay! We the internets are unabashedly delighted.

And wow, IF spam - you've really hit the big time!
